Dean F. Driscoll

Dean F. Driscoll, 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City following a short illness. Memorial services were held at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at 10 a.m.

Dean was born September 16, 1934, the son of Frank and Agnes (Kelly) Driscoll in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Dean was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids and graduated from Wilson High School. He served in the Iowa National Guard 224th Battalion.

Dean married Nell Boyson on Nov. 11, 1989. He was the proprieter of Dean Driscoll Construction for the past 25 years. He belonged to the American Legion in North Liberty and the Elks Club in Cedar Rapids. His passion was golfing with his friends. He also enjoyed fishing and reading non-fictional material.

Dean is survived by his wife, Nell; his children, Doug Driscoll and Andrea Driscoll, Blake Boyson and Brett (Jody) Boyson; his grandchildren, Eli and Dana Driscoll, Brendon Boyson and Ryan Webster; his sister, Francis Reed; brothers, Ray, Merle, Clarence, Don and Bill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Francis, John, Lawrence, Robert; and an infant son, Bradley Dean.
